LACS ‘Play Your Cards Right’ exhibition a hit with MSPs
At MM we’ve always encouraged our public affairs clients to make use of the Scottish Parliament’s exhibition space which gives organisations display space for three days in either the Garden Lobby or the Members Lobby. And, more importantly, three days of access to MSPs for one-to-one lobbying.
We’ve definitely missed helping our clients come up with creative ways to engage Members of Parliament through exhibitions during the pandemic but we were back with a bang this week, as our client the League Against Cruel Sports took their ‘Play Your Cards Right’ stand into the Members’ Lobby.
Based on the iconic game show format, the League’s stand raised awareness of the issues around grouse moor management through the fun ‘higher, higher, lower, lower’ format. With grouse moor licensing on the political agenda this was an excellent opportunity for our client’s to chat through the issues with MSPs while having a bit of fun on the game show stand.
This was a very successful week for our clients who were able to speak to dozens of MSPs as well as the relevant Minister and Cabinet Secretary. ‘Play Your Cards Rights’ has been packed up now but watch out, it may appear at a party conference near you later this year…–
