MM brings Shetland story to Edinburgh
Message Matters has been working with Shetland Islands Council on the story it wants to tell about the contribution is makes to Scotland and the UK, the help it needs to make that difference, and the threat it faces if UK, Scottish and local governments fail to work together.
MM created a brochure – It’s All Happening in Shetland – which outlines Shetland’s transformative work, particularly in renewables, aquaculture and the space sector, and highlights the needs for improved digital and physical connectivity to make it all tick.
We organised a Holyrood drop-in event, around which we also organised meetings with a number of MSPs, and the Scottish and UK governments.
Shetland’s leader, Cllr Steven Coutts, and Chief Executive Maggie Sandison also sat down with the Press & Journal, which led to this double-pager and a Stooshie podcast.
