MM support bid to ban Greyhound racing in Scotland

It’s no secret that we have a soft spot for dogs here at MM – we currently have eight four-legged friends in the team – so the launch of Mark Ruskell’s greyhound racing Bill was a significant day for us. We provide public affairs support to GREY2K USA Worldwide for the UK elements of their campaign to end dog racing globally. The US-based charity has been pivotal in closing  down more than fifty tracks across the United States and prevented the legalisation of greyhound gambling to countries such as South Africa, Jamaica, and the Philippines.

Their next goal is Scotland – with our help.

Scotland has just become the first nation to propose legislation on this issue. The launch of the Proposed Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Scotland) Bill would see an end to racing in Scotland and the inherent cruelty that comes with it.

MM will be working closely with GREY2K to navigate the Bill process from consultation through the legislative stages and hopefully to the final Act, which would see an end to greyhound racing for good.
