MSP’s get involved with ‘Lap the Map’ for Edinburgh Children’s Hospital

At MM we’re definitely enjoying the transition to ‘real life’ again post Covid so we were delighted to set up a fun photo opportunity with eight MSPs on behalf of our client Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity.

The photocall was to promote ECHC’s fundraiser Lap the Map. Created in summer 2020 to bring communities together during Covid, Lap the Map is a virtual challenge with Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity competing.

Now in its third year and having raised over £250,000 so far, this year’s challenge runs from Monday 13th to Sunday 26th June and participants can walk, run or wheel to clock up as many kilometres as possible over the two weeks, with the aim of making it 35,000km around the coastline of Australia.

We asked an MSP from each party to create Team Edinburgh and Team Glasgow, wearing Lap the Map T Shirts in their party colours. The enthusiasm among MSPs to take part was great, and they certainly didn’t disappoint on the day. As a result ECHC had some brilliant photos for social content and MSPs were also given their own pictures to share via their online channels.

A huge thank you to Team Edinburgh – Lorna Slater,  Daniel Johnson, Alex Cole Hamilton and Ben MacPherson. And to Team Glasgow – Dr Sandesh Gullhane, Gillian Mackay, Pam Duncan-Glancy and Rona Mackay.
