Reform Scotland highlights nursery provision inequality
We’ve had a busy couple of days here at Message Matters, promoting our client Reform Scotland’s campaign against inequality in government-funded nursery provision.
Children in Scotland are legally entitled to two years of government-funded nursery provision, but Reform Scotland’s research has shown that provision can vary by as much as nine months – which amounts to well over £1,000 – purely based on the month of a child’s birth.
Reform Scotland’s new research, announced today, showed that only 50% of children born in Scotland last year will receive the full 2-year entitlement.
The story has been covered in the Scotsman, Herald, Express, Mail, Press & Journal, and on BBC and STV.
