Scots across the water for roads campaign

Continuing the campaign for clients Stena Line and Belfast Harbour, Message Matters (MM) has helped to create two high-profile visits to Belfast in the last fortnight.

Last week, Alister Jack, the UK Government’s Secretary of State for Scotland, visit Stena Line’s port to pledge his government’s support for upgrading the A75 beyond the pledges made by the Scottish Government, with which our clients were disappointed. This resulted in extensive physical and digital media coverage (see below).

And this week, the SNP’s long-term local campaigner on upgrading the roads, Emma Harper MSP, visited the terminal in Belfast and pledged to work with both the UK and Scottish Governments to find a solution which can create investment in the roads. You can see Emma’s video clip from the Irish Sea herehttps://twitter.com/emmaharpermsp/status/1511787272491999234?s=21.

MM continues to work between both governments, lobbying for investment in these roads, which is crucial for the economic and social future of the south west of Scotland.
